Overwater bungalows are buildings with one guest room standing on stilts in the water. It is also known as a floating bore or an overwater suite. These are the bungalows on stilts that actually sit in the water rather than on islands. Each Overwater Bungalow has its own separate unit and has water under the bedroom which gives a very nice experience.

Overwater Bungalows have small glass panels on the floor by which one can watch fish and coral right from their very room. Overwater Bungalows can be built anywhere with calm waters that won’t destroy due to waves. The best locations have deep blue water teeming with fish and coral which provides the ultimate feeling without getting wet. Overwater Bungalows are found in the Caribbean, and South Pacific nations like Tahiti, Fiji, etc. and are also popular in the Maldives.

The best time to stay in Overwater Bungalow is usually between May and October which is the driest time of the year and doesn’t experience many cyclones. Generally, people like to stay longer in Overwater Bungalows for five to seven days and a minimum of three days of stay is suggested for experiencing the uniqueness of sleeping over the water.
